Cheesy Hamburger Casserole
Ingredients:
2 lbs. Lean ground beef (turkey may also be used)
2 Small green peppers chopped
1 medium onion chopped ( I used sweet onion)
2 tsp minced garlic
1 Tbs Worcestershire sauce
1 can diced tomatoes ( I used fire roasted garlic)
1 can tomato sauce
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 cup Chicken broth
1 box of elbow pasta ( I used Dreamfields low carb pasta)
1 Tbs butter
2 cups Shredded Cheddar cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Pre heat oven to 375°
Lightly brown beef and drain any oil in pan
then add the peppers, onions, garlic, Worcestershire , canned tomatoes and tomato sauce, chicken broth and Italian seasoning
Bring to a boil and simmer for 20 minutes.
Cook pasta according to directions, drain, and add the butter to the hot pasta
Combine pasta and beef with one cup of the cheddar cheese and mix well
Place pasta in a 15×10 baking pan and top with remaining cheese
Bake for 25 minutes
